I’m a professional artist living and working in South Yorkshire in the UK. I paint primarily in oils tackling a variety of subjects including portraiture, still-life and landscape.
I work almost exclusively from observation, studying nature’s light and form. I find that nature offers me an endless inspiration. The seasons have a real impact on my work and guide me to work on various subjects throughout the year.
My most recent work is focused heavily in and around the home, painting and drawing intimate scenes of family going about their daily lives. Being a father of 2, there’s always something around me to paint and I’m sure my love of family is evident in this new body of work.
I am influenced by many Artists, from the past to the present, some of which include Monet, Cezanne, Albert Marquet, Ewan Uglow to name just a few.
My work is currently held in private collections across the globe and I am represented by numerous galleries within the UK.
I welcome commissions, workshops and also demonstration requests. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
